Copper Sulphate crystals are a longstanding, powerful disinfectant for use on equine hooves.
Many farriers mix the copper sulphate crystals into dental impression materials or into acrylics when gluing on aluminium shoes and plates.
This helps to prevent hooves becoming soft and crumbly, which often occurs when air is prevented from reaching the hoof wall and sole.
